I was a damage control man 2nd class aboard DDG7 USS Henry B Wilson and DDG992 USS Fletcher. Having this duty of maintaining all fire fighting equipment and safety gear, as well as being the helo deck proximity suit man and repair locker leader and #1 fire hose man. I learned the understanding of paying attention to detail and making sure everything works correctly. Being able to lead a team and guide people to strive for perfection, while working to the best of their abilities.
