American Thunder Inc’s “Hot Wheels for Disabled Veterans” is a nonprofit war veterans’ organization devoted to building customized and individualized handicap accessible Hot-Rods and Muscle Cars and then donating them to the men and women of the Armed Forces that have been severely wounded in the line of duty. Through Research and Development our goal is to equip these unique vehicles with technologically advanced automotive accessories that will allow disabled veterans the freedom they deserve. The technology that is used in today’s hand-controls and chairlifts is big, bulky and outdated to say the least. We believe the soldiers of today and yesterday deserve more than having to drive around in grandma’s van, they should be able to drive a vehicle that brings them alive and makes them feel good when they are behind the wheel and proud to have served and sacrificed for their country.
