Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
The military service taught me the need to interact with diverse people. I was very fortunate to have worked in the Far East within the office of Gen. Benjamin O. Davis. He made me aware that with decision making comes risks. With being a leader, you have to be able to confront negative situations. Prior to entering the author/publishing business, I was the owner of a successful remodeling business. Military service has definitely given me the ability to communicate in the business world.
