Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
The Air Force taught me many valuable skills: technical, effective communications, teamwork and leadership. Those skill sets provided me the tools that enabled my success at companies which valued those attributes. After taking early retirement from Hewlett-Packard and then working a few years for another company, I decided to start my own business. The skills I learned in the Air Force were extremely helpful when I stepped out as an entrepreneur starting up a business from scratch.
