I served on submarines in Nuclear Power as an enlisted Machinist Mate. The technical requirements of The Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program required a detailed knowledge of an extremely large collection of technical manuals. The requirement to interpret and implement these manuals translates extremely well to tax preparation and understanding and applying the tax code.
